Materials

EcoFurn products are made from solid wood grown in the North. The products do not use raw materials from sensitive rainforests at all. The materials are only sourced from managed forests and sources that either have an FSC certificate or that can determine the exact location of the harvesting site of the delivered wood material. In addition to Nordic wood, hemp rope is used in the products and metal helos are used for some items. The products are primarily delivered in packages that are parts, in order to minimize the need for packaging material and the space required for transportation. Packaging materials are always recyclable, unless there are special circumstances (e.g. freight rules and regulations) that prevent their use.

Design

Ecofurn 's product development uses in-house and external professional designers. The starting point of the design is sustainable development, product durability and repairability, and recyclability.

EcoFurn products are inspired by Finland's fresh nature - thousands of lakes, forests and unique tranquility. All this creates a magical atmosphere for new ideas. The changing seasons also provide a natural testing environment for our products.

Production

The operating model of sustainable development and respect for nature has been the core of production from the beginning.

EcoFurn products are 100 percent recyclable, and no waste is left in nature.

Over the years, EcoFurn has invested in expanding production. High-level process technologies and operating environments guarantee production plants that are as environmentally friendly as possible.

All wood is used efficiently. Sawing residues are converted into briquettes and even sawdust pellets. Both can be used for efficient heating.

EcoFurn strongly believes that the consumption of plastic will return to the efficient consumption of wood. The mission is to make wooden products so well that consumers also prefer them for their other properties, not only because of ecology. Climate-conscious choices can often also be practical. Consumers are encouraged to favor durability and repairability of products.

Target

Climate change, plastic pollution, chemical pollution of the environment and the sufficiency and purity of food are the biggest environmental challenges of our time.

EcoFurn does not agree to add to these problems, they want to be part of the solution.
